Coffee and friendship go together like peanut butter and jelly, don’t they? Although you can have one without the other, they’re always better together.
That’s why I love the new Charming Café bundle from this year’s Occasions catalogue. The images and sentiments capture this delightful pairing perfectly, and the coordinating Café Builder dies make it so easy to create gorgeous friendship cards and gifts!
Charming Café Window Card
Today I’ve used the Charming Café bundle to make a cheery die-cut window card to share with a friend. This card is decorated both outside and in, with a ‘window’ cut through the card front to show off what’s inside. Fun, right?
To capture that warm feeling of spending time with friends, I picked a sunny color combo for this card. Just because the outside world is drab and dull this time of year doesn’t mean our cards have to be!
To be able to color the images with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I love that the Memento ink doesn’t smear, no matter how much blending I do!
After I cut them out with their respective dies, I attached the images to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra ‘pop’. Because the top and bottom lines of the rosebud frame were too narrow for this, I just left them unattached. But since the bottom frame line was unattached, I also used it as a draping rod for the shimmer ribbon — bonus!
Speaking of ribbon, the two I used here are available for FREE right now with any $50 Sale-A-Bration order! They come in a three-pack of shimmer ribbon rolls that includes these two colors plus Basic Gray.
